I learned a lot from printing in color. The first thing I learned is what colors to use on each layer, this matters so much because an artist doesn't want to cover up the light parts, and ruin their print. I made this mistake with my first final print. I learned to test the colors more, and not just cover the whole cut with a the ink but rather pick and choose where is will show up best.
The next thing I learned is that my template was perfectly cut, but my linoleum pieces were not cut correctly, so they did not all sit correctly in the template, so I had to adjust to the way I had the cut before the other, and I had to rotate my piece little by litter to get it to line up correctly.
